James Gray ha rilasciato un'intervista a Cut Print Film, nella quale parla del divario che spesso intercorre tra il primo ciak ed il rilascio cinematografico.. Fra le numerose domande riguardanti 'The Immigrant' che, pur essendo stato acclamato al Festival di Cannes 2013 e visionabile solo tramite Blu Ray, gliene viene posta una su 'The Lost City of Z'.
